Corporate hospitality at gigs

Posted by Jo Kelly

Taking your staff to a gig to see some of the biggest names in entertainment is a fantastic way to reward them for all their hard work and dedication.

Whether it’s taking your staff to see their favourite bands, or it’s an evening laughing along at a  comedian’s show, there are many ways you can put on a great night for your staff.

That said, there are still a number of different things you can do to help elevate the night from memorable to unforgettable.

Complimentary bars and buffets

Gig packages can vary based on the type of performer and what the venue is able to provide. Most gigs can provide a warm welcome with drinks and maybe a pre-gig meal upon arrival. That may be all your team expect or need because they’re more excited to see their favourite performers.

If the opportunity presents itself, you could just as easily push the boat out a little and create a corporate hospitality package that provides pre-event meal at a posh restaurant, with some complimentary drinks included.

This might seem like a minor addition, but the aim should be to make your staff feel pampered as a reward for all their hard work. It helps to make their gig experience a little bit more special and out of the ordinary, making it feel unique and memorable.

Private lounges and aftershows

Different gigs may be able to provide more exclusive additions to your hospitality package simply based on their location or venue. For example, some gigs may offer you a cordoned-off VIP section to watch from, helping your staff experience that exclusive feeling.

Some may also be able to provide a separate lounge for you to relax and be pampered in for a few hours prior to the gig, and return to after the gig to relax while the crowds dissipate.

You could also surprise your staff by looking for a package that does provide a meet and greet before or after the show. Seeing a gig with your workmates is a great night out as it is, but a team photo with a famous singer and some autographs can help make the night that little bit more special for your staff.

Some venues offer VIP after parties, allowing you to carry on the fun into the early hours. Though it’s not always guaranteed, there’s always the chance that the night’s performers or other celebrities could be there, giving your staff the chance to meet and hang out with the stars. If that isn’t available, you’re still able to carry on the night in style. Why not book a private area at a nearby nightclub?

It’s one thing to experience an unforgettable event once you’re there, but it’s another to be in luxury as soon as you set off. You could consider hiring a limousine to collect your staff and take them to the event in style. If you do decide to head to an afterparty or nightclub once the event has finished, pre-organised travel can make the whole event run even smoother for your staff.
