Australia is currently experiencing one of the worst wildfire crises’ in history. The unprecedented bushfires have caused devastation to the land, wildlife, people, homes and communities.
At CR Worldwide, we wanted to support the charities who are making an impact on stopping the spread of fires and are rebuilding the country.
Juliet Caswell, CR Worldwide Product and Proposition Director shared “Our Reward Services Team suggested that they thought it would be a great idea if we could support the related charities, by raising money through our rewards catalogue that’s hosted on our client incentive and recognition programmes. We initiated this quickly, and our global programme users now have the option to redeem their points earned against their charity of choice. In the first two weeks, we have seen over AU$2000 of donations made. This has proven to be a popular option with our users, so we expect to see an increase in total money raised over time.”
We are committed to supporting other charities as part of our CSR policySee more
The three charities we are supporting include:
Australian Red Cross
Their teams are on the ground supporting people at relief centres, recovery centres and evacuation centres by coordinating food and water supplies, distributing hygiene kits and pet supplies, plus satellite phones to those who are isolated. Info here
The Trustee for NSW Rural Fire Service & Brigades
The NSW Rural Fire Service is the lead combat agency for bush fires in NSW and is widely acknowledged as having the largest volunteer fire service in the world. Info here
WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service)
Responsible for rescuing and caring for wildlife and is the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia. Info here
We’ll make an update with the total amount raised shortly. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this devastating disaster at this difficult time.
