CR Worldwide (CR) is proud to announce its newest corporate charity partnership with Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. The campaign, which started formally in January 2019, will run for a three-year duration.
This year, CR employees suggested a range of charities for the company to support during the next fundraising period, and the team voted for the one they felt most fitting. The winning choice was Mind, a leading mental health charity in England and Wales. The organisation’s mission is to provide quality services and support to help reduce stigma and promote positive mental health and wellbeing.
“We are extremely enthused to partner up with Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. CR’s offerings in employee motivation and recognition have always been rooted in promoting a positive, healthy workforce,” commented David Gould, CEO, CR Worldwide. “World Mental Health Day is a valuable initiative to draw attention for this important cause and to improve mental health care and services in the UK and beyond.”
As an Investors in People Gold accredited company, CR continuously aims to provide an open, honest and flexible culture for its employees as part of its corporate social responsibility goals. Aligning with Mind’s mission, the company will help raise awareness of mental health problems that can affect anyone, any day of the year. CR will show its support for better mental health by encouraging employees and clients to take care of their own wellbeing. All fundraising efforts, from the ongoing honesty snack box, through to quarterly bake sales, quiz nights and fancy dress days, will be in aid of the corporate charity in 2019 and onwards.
“We are delighted that CR Worldwide has chosen to support Coventry and Warwickshire Mind as their corporate charity,” said Jade Clarke, Business Development Lead, Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. “It is great that they are joining us in our mission to make sure no one experiences a mental health problem alone and to help increase awareness while breaking down barriers. We are truly grateful that their funds will help us continue to deliver the life-changing services we provide.”
Previously, CR’s charity partnership was with The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) Service, running three years from July 2015 to July 2018. During which time, CR surpassed an original target of £5,100 to fund 3 helicopter missions for the charity, eventually raising a total of £11,480, which was enough to fund 6 rapid-response missions (at a cost of £1,700 each). For the campaign with Mind, CR hopes to exceed their last fundraising outcomes, with a £12,000 final target donation amount.
Mind will also appear as an option on CR’s points-banking platform (MyRewards®), to offer clients the opportunity to donate to the charity. Since January, these donations have amounted to £1,164, with one generous beneficiary donating £630 worth of points in one bulk payment to the charity in September.
This year, Mind’s staff and volunteers will support World Mental Health Day through fundraising, training events and hosting school workshops.
